Tripoli-President of the High Court Mohammed Al-Hafi briefed the Acting Head of the UN Mission in Libya ,Raisedon Zeninga, on history of the Constitutional Chamber of the High Court and the recent decision issued by the General Assembly to re-activate the Chamber.

This came during a meeting Al-Hafi held yesterday with Zeninga, during which the latter recognized the jurisdiction of the High Court as a sovereign institution to re-activate the Constitutional Chamber.

According to tweets by the UN Mission on its Twitter , Zeninga stressed the importance to maintain independence and unity of the judiciary , to be able to resolve all disputes under its jurisdiction ,including constitutional and legal challenges in a timely manner and protect people’s rights and freedom.
