5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries kicks off in the Qatari capital.

Tripoli, Work of the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries was inaugurated in the Qatari capital, “Doha”, with the participation of the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi and a number of heads and member states and governments.

The 5th United Nations Conference works to mobilize more and strengthen the commitments of the international community towards the implementation of the Doha Action Programme for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade (2022-2031), which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in April 2022. It also provides an opportunity for a renewed partnership between the least developed countries and their development partners. To meet the main challenges, including eradicating poverty, achieving internationally agreed development goals and enabling countries to graduate from the category of least developed countries.
