Williams: The Libya Meeting Called For The Launch Of An Inclusive Political Process In Which All Libyan Political And Social Components Are Represented

New York- The Acting Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, said that the participants in the ministerial meeting on Libya (Berlin Conference 2) called for the launch of a comprehensive political process in which all Libyan political and social components are represented, and work within the framework of the Berlin conference to resolve the Libyan crisis “and the continuation of the truce. In a press conference held by the UN official with journalists through closed circuit at the United Nations headquarters in New York, she confirmed that the participants in the Berlin meeting on Libya called for “the launch of a comprehensive political process, the rapid implementation of the establishment of a demilitarized zone in and around Sirte, and agreement on a permanent ceasefire”. The ministerial meeting, known as “Berlin Conference 2”, was attended by ministers and representatives of countries and regional and international organizations that attended last January’s conference, with the aim of stabilizing the ceasefire.
