TRIPOLI, Libya, France is willing to train Libyan security personnel, and assist in monitoring Libyan borders, France's ambassador to Libya, Beatrice du Hellen, said here, Tuesday.
The French ambassador made the remarks, at a meeting with Libyan Interior Minister, Fat'hi Bashagha.
The two sides should implement all their agreements and memorandums of understanding, on security and the control of illegal immigration, a statement by the Libyan Interior Ministry, cited Bashagha as saying.
Libya has been suffering incessant violence and insecurity, since the fall of former leader, Muammar Gaddafi, in 2011.
The north Africa nation also became a favoured point of departure, for thousands of immigrants, mostly Africans, wanting to cross the Mediterranean towards Europe.
