TUNIS, Sixty Arab thoroughbreds raised by Tunisian and Libyan breeders will compete on Sept 21 and 22 for the prize of the most beautiful Arab thoroughbred.
The event will be held at the horse racing club of the National Police in Soukra in northern Tunisia, at the initiative of the World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO) in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry's National Foundation for the Improvement of Horse Breeds (FNARC), the Libyan Arab Thoroughbred Association and the Sports Club Intervention Units.
Training workshops for the benefit of horse breeders will be held on Sept 21 in conjunction with the competition, focusing on breeding specifics, the laws in force in this field and the upgrading of the local exhibitors' knowledge of the preparation of horses for beauty contests.
